Summer is coming to an end...

I was thinking at my session yesterday evening that I probably won't get a chance to do very many more green and flowery field shoots this year. Hopefully I can find some equally cool brown and "falley" looking fields to work in the rest of the year. The spot I worked in a few weeks ago got mowed, so I had to find a new location. The new spot had these awesome big yellow flowers and these tiny little purple ones down at baby level, so I was not too disappointed. I got to meet up with 6 month old "M" and her parents last night. We had a gorgeous evening to work in, so that is always wonderful. Little "M" is a spitting image of her Mommy right down to her beautiful red hair. Okay, well she is still a baldy, but there is red coming in in the back for sure! You can see her at the top of my blog as a newborn, that sweet yawning baby. "M" was a trooper and gave me some adorable grins and funny faces. I had a great time hanging out with them. So, here ya go...

Is she gorgeous or what??

Love this happy face

Here are those gorgeous yellow flowers and the whole sweet family

P.S. SCHEDULING UPDATES...
I am almost booked for the rest of the year. I have ONE each month left for October, November and December. I do still have several openings for my Christmas card mini session. I will accept appointments up until March 2010 if you know you are wanting to come see me in the new year. As always, baby planners you are already on my schedule, so not to worry.

Meet Baby "R"...

I got to meet baby "R" a few days ago. She is the new arrival of the couple featured in my previous blog post about a "rad couple". Her sex was a surprise, so I was excited to hear a sweet, healthy baby girl arrived. I always find it amazing that even at only a few days old, these kiddos know what they like and don't like. She gave me a very short period in the diaper cover only and then could not be persuaded after this point. She wanted to be swaddled and there were no other options :) Even laying in front of my toasty heater, she was not having it. So, she gave me a good challenge trying to figure out new and interesting ways to photograph a swaddled baby. She has this very serious brow. I can't wait to see her again in 3 months when she will be smiling at me! She is such a sweet little girl and Mom was cool as a cucumber through the whole process. It always amazes me that somehow Mom's just know how to take care of these little babes and all the little secrets to make them content. So, without further delay here is baby "R".

I am a sucker for these simple black and white images...

I am taking names on a first priority wait list, so if you are interested please send me an email at lhuntphotog@live.com. I already have a few people on my list, so I am not the only one thinking about Christmas in August!

Miss P is one!

Sigh, one of my favorite babies just turned one :( I am particularly attached to her b/c she is adorable first of all and I have gotten to see her for 6 sessions over the last year. So, I adore her. Don't be too sad though as mom and I are working out a second year package for her, so I will still get to see her often! Mom is totally my kind of client b/c she lets me do all kinds of cool stuff for her like birthday invitations, thank you notes, etc. Even better she just lets me design whatever I want, so I get to have lots of creative fun. So, here is the very chunky, super cutey patootie P...

Love her in my pink cowboy hat even if she didn't really want to wear it

She looked so adorable in her tutu, but she thought it was too itchy :)

She had a good time with the cake!

Baby Lucas

I finally got to catch up with baby Lucas one day before he turned 4 weeks old. He was more into mommy time than picture time, but he gave me enough tolerance we got some great stuff. He is the newest addition to one amazing family. His big brother Thomas, who is 2, has been undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. So, life has been really difficult for this family of five. The love and support of friends, family and the community has really been amazing and everyone has rallied around them to help them through this difficult time. Thomas is an amazing little boy and has such a bright light about him, he is truly precious. Mom says Lucas has been a really easy baby, so thank goodness for this:) We had our session scheduled when Lucas was one week old, but with the family's hectic schedule it took awhile for us to connect. I am so thankful to have been able to capture these memories for this family. So, enjoy the sneak peeks...

Oh how I love this stretch:)

Sweet slumber

The last of the belly rush...

I met with the last of my belly rush on Monday evening. So, now comes the babies!!!! I am a little slow in posting this week due to the insanity going on around here. I finished up with my fourth session of the week this morning, so I have more sneak peeks to come. Seeing how I normally budget my time for one session a week, you can imagine the chaos going on in my head. I will make it through, but this is not something I plan to make a habit of:) Anyways, I met with this cute couple at their home and then we went out to a park. They are expecting their first baby in less than 3 weeks. Oddly the pics I chose to post on my first browse through the session carried a similar feel. They relax me and at this point in my week, that is what I needed. So, we did get plenty of smiley, eye contact pics, but Mom and Dad will have to wait for the gallery to see those. Here is the peek...

Lovey dovey...

MM is all grown up...

Okay well she is not really grown up, she is only a year, but wow the things that happen in a year. This little girl has done a lot of changing. She has yet to disappoint me at a session, she is a natural, and today was no exception. We debated a lot over locations for this session and finally decided on meeting at my local field. It was a long drive for Mom and Dad, but hopefully seeing these shots will make it all worth it. The colors were so super fabulous and it was exciting for me b/c all my little white flowers have gone to be replaced by gorgeous black eyed susans. Okay enough chatter, on with the sneak peeks!

Here is the adorable MM the first time I met her, a very short year ago. I loved the light in this picture then and it still gets me now.

One short year later and look at this little beauty. I am sooooo in love with this shot! I am sure you can see why...

She was so not into the cake until she got a little taste of the chocolate. Now look at her go!

Babies are the bosses

I am a little tardy in posting this sneak peek since this session was almost a week ago. However, I have a good reason or two. One is I have been crazy busy and two is that I am seeing Miss O next week to finish up our session. We met up for her 12 month session and also some family pics but she was just not in the mood. She gave me about 10 minutes of tolerance and we tried to sweet talk her for another 15 or so, but she was just done with the whole thing. So, we packed it up and decided to finish up another day. Thus the reason I say, babies are the bosses. So, only one peek for now and more to follow next week. I have another cutey pie one year old tomorrow morning, so check back in the next day or two for another sneak peek.

He makes her smile...

I got to spend a little time with T and T last night. I always enjoy meeting new people and kind of watching the dynamics of couples. It was quite obvious hubby knows how to get "mommy to be" laughing. Her face would literally light up when he was making her giggle, it was quite enjoyable to watch. My favorite images were from their amazing nursery, BUT the baby's sex is a secret, so I can not share now. However, once baby arrives you can sure bet I am going to blog that nursery! Seriously beautiful. Anyways, here is your sneak peek...

They have this amazing outdoor living space...

A little fun downtown...

I have been dying to do an urban session every since my workshop a few months back. So, when one of my most favorite models was coming to see me all the way from Texas I told mom we are going urban. Thankfully she agreed. So we got out early Sunday morning and had fun exploring downtown Nashville. Little H is almost 4 now and continues to amaze me with her natural talent for modeling. She is so fun and cooperative and is a total ham in front of the cam. I totally adore her!!!!! I may end up posting more later in the week, but for now only four. So if anyone wants to go urban for your sessions I would be soooooo excited! More sneak peeks this weekend after my 2 sessions on Saturday.

Love this awesome blue wall and how she is grabbing her piggy

Oh how I am totally obsessed with this wall and of course the fun she is having with me

I asked her to stand on the bench and this is the pose she gave me, is she awesome or what???

A little Mommy and daughter love...
